During this introductory training day you will undertake a range of STEAM activities and gain the skills and knowledge needed to facilitate high-quality STEAM learning experiences for your young people.
This project is supporting youth workers to inspire young people to create, invent and make with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Youth workers will receive a grant for equipment that can be used to deliver technology-enhanced activities spanning electronics, robotics and coding to music, arts and crafts.
During the training you will undertake a range of STEM and Maker activities and gain the skills and knowledge that you’ll need to facilitate high-quality STEM learning experiences with young people. You will: learn how to solder; use a Makey Makey to turn an everyday object, such as a bunch of flowers, into a computer keyboard; make simple circuits; make scribble bots; and make your own speakers.
